We stayed in the magnificent Lighthouse Suite, and it was worth every penny. The views from every window were breathtaking, almost unbelievable beauty. Awesome sunrises, a lovely moon reflected in the lake at midnight, the soothing sound of waves all night with the balcony screen door open. The location is perfect for seeing the island, easy access to shopping and restaurants and fudge. The porter picked up our bags at the dock and took them up to the room. All we had to do was have fun. There is a continental breakfast in the sunny carriage room in the morning. We watched the sun rise from there, an amazing sight.

Great 2-night stay at Iroquois. It is steps away from Ferry terminal, at the end of a busy street. If you need more quiet and solitude, consider another property but this worked great for my wife and I. Rooms a bit small without many amenities (coffee maker, fridge, etc.) but were super clean. Continental breakfast served in their dining room (The Carriage House) with super views of the water. The star is their restaurant; dinner was superb. If you want an outside table during the warmer months I would make a reservation (they turn on space heaters as well).

We loved the Hotel Iroquois, the property is well-located and beautifully maintained. The gardens are gorgeous, the rooms are very pretty, comfortable and clean, and the staff is very attentive and pleasant. The Carriage House restaurant is delicious and the complimentary daily Continental breakfast exceeds expectations. This boutique hotel offers a much more personal and pleasant experience than a larger hotel. We highly recommend the Hotel Iroquois!

Fantastic place to stay on Mackinac Island! Beautiful rooms, outstanding service and nice touches made for a thorougly enjoyable stay. The grounds are beautiful and hotel was very clean and tidy. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating and my wife appreciated the high-end hair dryer in our room. Hotel Iroquois provides a continental breakfast each morning that is actually delicious and provides beverages and snacks throughout the day. The next time we are on the island, we will be staying at Hotel Iroquois!

Haven’t been back for over 3 years to hotel Iroquois but it’s definitely even nicer than before! We stayed in the Marina View Deluxe King which is on the third floor. We love this hotel for the easy location to the Main Street and restaurants so close by. Pros: - the hotel is charming! Definitely picture worthly inside and out like a warm home - this hotel has extremely good getaway prices for specific times of the year. They’ll do 60% off the rooms for a specific one night stay during their slower seasons on the island but there’s still plenty of people visiting. - the hotel is always nicely cleaned and they provide a downturn service leaving cute little chocolates on your bed pillows like the grand hotel does! - they provide a complimentary breakfast in the dining room in the morning - it’s very nice to have a full porter service at this hotel (it comes included) this means when you buy your tickets at the ferry on the mainland the staff will give you special hotel tags to go on your luggage and it will be handled all the way to your room from there. No need to bring any luggage on the ferry yourselves. If you have a lot of stuff remember to tip the porter to be kind, we gave $5 for 3 bags once they were brought to our room. - the bedroom TVs look bigger and are a much better size than what I’ve seen posted on Google maps in the past Specific notes for this room (Marina View Deluxe Kind): - the view is amazing from this room you can see the fort and the docks and all the little houses on top of the hill it’s beautiful this time of year as well with the fall leaves (October 19-20, 2025) - the bathroom in this room is a little small but it still has a spacious shower and sink countertop to do makeup and put plenty of your bathroom essentials - this room is a third floor walk up so you will have to go up 2 flights of stairs and there is no elevator to my knowledge something to note for those with accessibility concerns - because this room is closer to the marina you will be able to hear the boats from time to time but the ferry’s stop running around 6 pm so no noise issues at night time! - lastly, I don’t remember this last time and I’m not sure if it’s room specific but we have a Dyson hairdryer in our bathroom!! (These are very nice luxury hairdryers if you are unaware) Cons: - I know this hotel and most are older but it would be nice if there was an elevator for the folks with accessibility concerns - The bathrooms could be bigger but again they are still nice - It is pretty easy to hear the people out in the hallway and closing and opening of doors - The sound of the ferry’s docking could concern folks, I don’t remember it ever being a struggle with waking up hearing the boat horns but something to note - There is no mini fridge or microwave in the rooms, at least not this one or the previous room we stayed in 3 years ago with the side porch on the second floor

The online pictures do not do it justice - it is even prettier than in the pictures AND the dock is AMAZING!! Beautiful area with flowers and comfortable chairs for anytime of the day. Morning was very special watching the sunrise! 2 Quiet sitting areas at the front of the hotel were very nice. Once you arrive on the island you walk along mainstreet and the hotel is at the very enc - a PERFECT location!! Would highly recommend!

Hotel Iroquois was a dream! I can’t wait to go back. The location on the water is perfect. We had a garden view room and the views were still great. We loved having a balcony and spent a lot of time out there. The room was adorable and impeccably clean. And all of the staff were so kind! The porters came and got our luggage at the ferry dock and took it back for us when we left. We had dinner at the carriage house for my birthday and that was perfect too. I honestly can’t think of any detail that could have been better.

Absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Iroquois on Mackinac Island! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and attentive, and the location is unbeatable—right on the water with a stunning view of Lake Huron (literally only a few steps away to the shore). Additionally, it sits at the end of the main street with all the shops. Our room (103) was beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean, and full of charm. We had a small private balcony that looked at the water. So nice. Dining at the Carriage House Restaurant was a highlight—delicious food with a perfect lakeside ambiance.
